The Nagasaki Tall Ships Festival is the only event of its kind in Japan, drawing large sailing vessels from both domestic and international ports to Nagasaki. Each ship boasts its own unique characteristics, making for a diverse and fascinating festival.
The festival is relatively new, with the first event held in 2000 to commemorate 400 years of Japan-Netherlands relations.
